Jonathan Tetelman – tenor
Prague Philharmonia
Frédéric Chaslin – conductor

The Chilean American tenor Jonathan Tetelman came to Prague for the first time in January 2024 and completely enchanted the sold-out Dvořák Hall with his voice and charm. Also with the unexpected and effective surprise at the end of the concert, when the students of the Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague and the Pardubice Conservatory from the audience joined Jonathan in the most famous opera hit, Kalaf's aria "Nessun dorma". It was a night to remember!

Jonathan Tetelman is a welcome guest on major world stages in Europe and Northern America, performing at London's Covent Garden, Theater an der Wien, Deutscheoper Berlin, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Vienna State Opera, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, etc. In the spring of 2024, the famous Metropolitan Opera welcomed him with open arms as „The house’s next major Italian-opera tenor“. They casted him in two roles: Ruggero (La rondine) and Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly). The debut was a success, and it was viewed all over the world within the MET in HD broadcasts. As seenandheard-international.com put it: „Tenor Jonathan Tetelman as Ruggero had the debonair charm and lightheartedness of a young Cary Grant“. A new Italian star tenor with the charm of the famous American movie star? It’s not bad at all!

One review of Jonathan's Prague concert was titled: "A New Star of the World Tenor Sky Flew through Prague just for a Moment" (Opera+, 8/2/2024). But that is no longer the case. In June 2025, Jonathan will return to Prague, accompanied by the Prague Philharmonia in famous arias from the operas of Georges Bizet, Jules Massenet, Giacomo Puccini, and Giuseppe Verdi, conducted by the famous French conductor, composer, and pianist Frédéric Chaslin.

Kindly respect the artists and do not make any recordings of their performances. Thank you.
