The moment the red light faded after the final take of the Rachmaninoff cycle with Lukáš Vondráček, the next step became clear: a complete Brahms cycle. Slightly shorter, perhaps, but no less intense in terms of difficulty, expression, and depth. Following the performance of Piano Concerto No. 1 in February, we will present the second one in June 2025.

Also on the program: Rachmaninoff—this time in purely orchestral form. For his final subscription concert as chief conductor, Tomáš Brauner has chosen Symphonic Dances—Rachmaninoff’s last major work, in which all of his musical and life themes converge.
