The esteemed guest of the FOK orchestra, Andrej Borejko, always brings well-thought-out programs to Prague that dazzle and sparkle. This time, literally, as Scriabin in his Prometheus really works with light. Only modern light design can properly illuminate this visionary work from 1911. Prokofiev's Piano Concerto is similarly sparkling, especially when it is performed by Yulianna Avdeeva, who has performed several times in FOK seasons; but now for the first time accompanied by our orchestra. The darker counterparts of the Russian works, a kind of conscience and testimony of the 20th century, can be seen in the works of Mieczysław Karłowicz and Miloslav Kabeláč. We are honored that it is precisely with this program and in an identical line-up that we will represent Slavic art in the Brucknerhaus in Linz before the Prague concerts.
