Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2 and Dvořák Symphony No. 9
Prague Summer Nights presents an evening of Rachmaninov, Dvořák, and Mozart, with pianist Dmitry Yudin in Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2. Musicians of the Czech Philharmonic and Prague Philharmonia join the Prague Summer Nights Orchestra under the baton of John Nardolillo and Concertmaster Borika van den Booren of the Royal Concertgebouw.
Multiple award and competition winner Dmitry Yudin, of New York, will play what many consider to be the greatest piano concerto of all time. A critic hailed his recent debut at a major festival, saying: “Dmitry Yudin’s debut surpassed all expectations. He tackled a terrifyingly virtuosic program with authority and musicality. His imagination and sensitivity were on display throughout the whole concert, creating one of the most memorable debuts in the festival’s history.”
